The transformation was complete; there, in the centre of our Palm Court Bar, stood Hercule Poirot exercising his little grey cells. Our guests were delighted and amazed – I honestly think some of them believed they were greeted by the genuine article and of course, Poirot did not reveal the fictional truth!
